The country that emerged as a role model in crushing the onslaught of COVID-19 last year, is overwhelmed by its second wave. Whether it’s the sheer number of fresh infected cases and fatalities every day or the shortage of medical oxygen, hospital beds, ICUs, and healthcare providers, we are struggling in every respect.

LEHS|WISH, since last year, has been supporting the central and several state governments to mitigate the tragic impact of COVID-19 in Rajasthan, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Uttar Pradesh. To intensify the ongoing efforts and to deal with the current havoc caused by COVID-19, we call upon our partners, corporates, foundations and individuals to contribute generously towards our Campaign. Following are the areas, based on our ongoing efforts, insights and learnings, in which urgent intervention is required.

Provision of oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, and/or installation of on-site medical oxygen generation plants at hospitals.

Support the Health Departments and Directorates in creating Isolation Wards for COVID patients in the PHCs, HWCs, and hospitals in the intervention states.

Support in establishing additional COVID Care Centers.

Community sensitization through IEC materials with the objective to break the COVID chain, inculcate COVID appropriate behavior and promote vaccine acceptance.

Promote the use of Point of Care Devices (PoCDs) and other apps for contactless screening and treatment in the PHCs and HWCs.

We have dedicated teams working on the ground in our intervention states.
